The primary objective of the FEB is to obtain approval in principle for the fire safety design from the relevant stakeholders, and inform the design team during design development. The FEB would include the development of a fire safety design strategy to address expected non-compliances as well as a preliminary list of essential fire safety measures in a trial fire design in order to justify relevant BCA non-compliances.
MCD Fire Engineering will conduct preliminary discussions with the design team to develop an understanding of the project. We would also, if necessary, undertake a detailed review of the current design to establish a clear understanding of the specific features / detail and potential issues. MCD Fire Engineering will set out, discuss and agree in principle the design methodologies to be adopted with the relevant stakeholders including the Client and PCA prior to developing a full Fire Engineering Report.
