Mark has worked on a number of Twilight Aged Care aged projects across Sydney, mainly in the areas of refurbishments and small extensions to existing buildings. Mark provided the key role of lead fire safety engineer from early design stages through to occupation and sign off stage of the projects and worked closely with the Client in agreeing the best fire safety strategy, with minimal disruption and impact on existing buildings.
Key features as part of the design was the rationalisation of the fire separation, progressive horizontal evacuation strategies, extended travel distances and smoke hazard management systems, all adding significant cost savings to the project.
